*When creating a Twitter account, it is very important to change the following setting: Go into settings (click on your Twitter name located in the top right hand corner of the page) and scroll down to the bottom. Check off the option "Always use HTTPS." This gives you added security especially when you are accessing Twitter through a WIFI hotspot.

Evernote is a tool that allows you to collect, sort and tag information into a searchable database. You can record notes into Evernote or upload pictures, files or recordings. You can also e-mail your notes directly into Evernote. You can access Evernote through their web based application or by their desktop software or mobile app. Evernote is free but you can get additional storage through their premium service.

As a Teacher, you might use Evernote to record anecdotal notes or writing down professional resources and attaching docs or pdfs. Something I find really useful is writing all of my notes from a PD session in Evernote. Then I can have it at my fingertips using Evernote's search function.

Livebinders is a virtual binder where you can share websites, documents and pictures through a web based application. Great way to share information with your students, parents and colleagues. To share, all you need to do is give the person the link (web address) of the binder.
